Haute Models

I'm so excited, and I just can't hide it!

Lilly and I have been working really hard with our future plans for Haute Cakes. We've got our permanent flavors all set up and have pictures to prove it!

Lilly, Chantal, and I worked on a Hauttie photo shoot this week and I am so happy with the results. The pictures look amazing! A special thanks to Lilly for taking beautiful pictures and supplying the backdrop, Chantal for helping out with the set design, and my aunt Chris for letting us borrow her Canon Camera.

Below is a sneak peak of our photo shoot...

Sophisticated Cinnamon

I must admit, I am proud of this delicious concoction. Who doesn't love the aroma of cinnamon? It's amazing.

This Hauttie is a simple, yet delicious coffee cake with a cinnamon streusel ribbon, filled with homemade cream cheese frosting, and dipped in white chocolate.

Yum...

Candy Cane Hautties

Chocolate + Peppermint = Yummy

I was inspired by the holiday season to create a candy cane themed Hauttie. It is basically a chocolate peppermint cake infused with chocolate frosting, dipped in milk chocolate, and topped with crushed candy cane. If you like chocolate, you'd definitely like this Hauttie.

Haute Cakes Project

My really close buddy Lilly has been working on a Haute Cakes project for one of her classes.  She took the class solely because she wanted to make the dream of a Haute Cakes empire a reality. We're on our way, Joub!

We met up many evenings to discuss ideas, web design, flavors, ads, etc. I must say, Lill is one talented girl!!! I attended her class presentation and brought along some Hautties for the ride. It was a lot of fun!!

Thanks for everything Joubaloo!! Love you!!!

Chex Treats for the Haulidays

These marshmallow goodies are a little twist on your traditional Rice Krispies Treats. It's basically the same recipe with a little more butter and a different type of cereal!

The photo above is made using Chex Rice Cereal.

Recipe:
  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 1 package mini marshmallows
  • 1/4 teaspoon green food coloring
  • 4 1/2 cups Corn Flakes or Chex cereal
  1. Melt butter over medium heat in a large pot
  2. Add marshmallows and stir until melted.
  3. Remove from heat and add green food coloring; stir well.
  4. Add Corn Flakes or Chex Cereal and stir until all of it is covered in the melted marshmallow mix
  5. Drop by tablespoonfuls onto waxed paper
  6. Decorate with colored sprinkles to give it that holiday touch

A Haute Nurse

My best friend Natalie graduated nursing school this weekend!!! Congratulations Nurse Natalie!!!!

We went to this cute Italian restaurant in Downtown LA called Colori Kitchen then headed to SLS Hotel for drinks. The food was amazing! I had Chicken Marsala and it was delicious!

Natalie loves hautties, so I made her a variety of flavors. I packaged them in a really cute snowman tin.

Natalie: I am so proud of you!!! I love you!

Snowman Hauttie

I tried out something new yesterday. I made a little itty bitty snowman. This was just a test run, so he doesn't look all that perfect. I just wanted to try it out for now.

Let me know what you think!

Deck the Haulls

My favorite time of year is just around the corner! I love Christmas! I love holidays! I enjoy spending time with my family and friends, decorating the tree, giving and getting presents, and baking holiday treats!

Every year, we get together as a family and decorate our Christmas tree.My sister invited her fiance and my brother invited his girlfriend. I nominated my friend Chantal as my significant other for the evening since I'm currently single. LOL. Thanks for taking one for the team, Chantal!

We also have a wonderful tradition where my mom buys each of us a new ornament every Christmas. We have been collecting them for over 25 years!

I was so excited to find a Hauttie ornament at Nordstrom this year. How cute is my little sprinkle Haute Cake ornament? I fell in love with it!

We decided to add  a twist to our tree top this year. Spread Eagle Santa! Sorry for all you conservatives out there, but my family enjoys a good laugh :)

I love our tree. It's so festive. It's so genuine. It's so full of love.

Hauliday Party

My friend Lusine had a Christmas gathering at her house last night with a bunch of the girls.

She had delicious food such as chicken and shrimp skewers, teriyaki salmon, bureg (Armenian cheese pastries), salad with goat cheese and walnuts, hummus, and a variety of cheeses. My cousin Dalida also prepared a delectable lentil salad and brie and cranberry tartlets.

We did a gift exchange and I ended up with a few cute pieces of jewelry.  A girl can never have too much jewelry :)

Guess what I made??????????

Hautties, of course!

I made three flavors:
  1. Red velvet with cream cheese frosting
  2. Pumpkin with cream cheese frosting
  3. Chocolate with milk chocolate frosting
