Snowman Hauttie

I tried out something new yesterday. I made a little itty bitty snowman. This was just a test run, so he doesn't look all that perfect. I just wanted to try it out for now.

Let me know what you think!

Deck the Haulls

My favorite time of year is just around the corner! I love Christmas! I love holidays! I enjoy spending time with my family and friends, decorating the tree, giving and getting presents, and baking holiday treats!

Every year, we get together as a family and decorate our Christmas tree.My sister invited her fiance and my brother invited his girlfriend. I nominated my friend Chantal as my significant other for the evening since I'm currently single. LOL. Thanks for taking one for the team, Chantal!

We also have a wonderful tradition where my mom buys each of us a new ornament every Christmas. We have been collecting them for over 25 years!

I was so excited to find a Hauttie ornament at Nordstrom this year. How cute is my little sprinkle Haute Cake ornament? I fell in love with it!

We decided to add  a twist to our tree top this year. Spread Eagle Santa! Sorry for all you conservatives out there, but my family enjoys a good laugh :)

I love our tree. It's so festive. It's so genuine. It's so full of love.

Hauliday Party

My friend Lusine had a Christmas gathering at her house last night with a bunch of the girls.

She had delicious food such as chicken and shrimp skewers, teriyaki salmon, bureg (Armenian cheese pastries), salad with goat cheese and walnuts, hummus, and a variety of cheeses. My cousin Dalida also prepared a delectable lentil salad and brie and cranberry tartlets.

We did a gift exchange and I ended up with a few cute pieces of jewelry.  A girl can never have too much jewelry :)

Guess what I made??????????

Hautties, of course!

I made three flavors:
  1. Red velvet with cream cheese frosting
  2. Pumpkin with cream cheese frosting
  3. Chocolate with milk chocolate frosting

Hauliday Hautties

I decided to add a little twist to my Hautties. I made two new flavors that I've never done before and I got positive reviews! That always puts a smile on my face :)

As you can already tell, I'm really into holidays. Christmas is definitely my favorite, so you can expect a lot of holiday themed goodies on my blog this month!

Let's talk about the first one. I went with a pound cake infused with butter cream frosting and dipped in milk chocolate. I added a touch of almond extract to the batter. A little bit goes a long way, trust me.

The second Hauttie featured in today's post is really a brownie.  I made brownies with semi-sweet chocolate chips and rolled them into balls. I then dipped the Brownie-Hautties in milk chocolate... and wallah... the Brownie-Hauttie was born. Lilly and I have already named our Brownie-Hauttie, but that will remain a secret until the dream of Haute Cakes becomes reality.

Belated Birthday Hautties

I just wanted to share some Hautties I made for a friend's birthday recently.

I decided to go with hot pink and dark purple/black because I thought they would bring out the bright colors of the sprinkles.

Tell me what you think :)

Fudge Crinkles

Did you ever think it was possible to make cookies from cake mix? I didn't either, until I cam across this recipe on Food.com (formerly RecipeZaar.com). I discovered these cookies about four years ago while browsing the website for some Christmas desserts.

These cookies have a really high rating and are sure to be a crowd pleaser!

Not a huge fan of chocolate? Well guess what? You can play around with different varieties of cake mixes and create your own cookie.  For example, you can use yellow cake mix and add in chocolate chips, walnuts, oatmeal, etc, and omit the powdered sugar.

The ideas are endless!!
